At RS Investments we offer extensive fixed-income research and investment capability through the sub-adviser, Guardian Investor Services LLC (GIS). The Fixed Income Team consists of 38 seasoned investment professionals, including portfolio managers, traders, credit analysts, and quantitative risk-management specialists. Together they bring a wealth of experience and insight to the fixed-income strategies offered by RS Investments.
The Fixed Income Team is known for its disciplined, diversified, and risk-managed approach, which focuses on adding value through portfolio structure, sector allocations, and security selection. The team uses a fundamental value approach, which means we seek to add value relative to risk, rather than just adding risk. We believe this is important given the role of fixed income funds in an overall portfolio allocation. The team of investment professionals who make up the investment committee conduct two days of formal quarterly meetings to reach robust decisions on top-down factors, which include macroeconomic analysis, market evaluations, and in-depth fundamental assessments of each fixed-income sector.
